Group Exhibition BACK TO ATHENS 9 \u201cAthens, a female story\u2026\u201d, 140x110cm, ink, colored pencils, string and collage on paper, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201dFlowers of life, women- daughters, “Kores”. Vows of sanctity, desire and purpose. They reflect the spiritual existence of the deity hidden within them. They do not hide their femininity, they reveal it, emphasizing it.\u00a0Masked sensuality, their clothes, erase the vigor of their youth.\u00a0 They show magnificence and grace.\u00a0The helical, oblique folds embrace the physicality of the figures, capturing the subtlety of life.\u00a0Double signaling, greed and eroticism.\u00a0The inseparable organic unity of their physical and spiritual dimension is evident. Veil-bearing, “Kores”, sacred, symbols of the transition from adolescence to\u00a0femininity. Silent and restless, they look to the future with courage, they reach to the murmur of their mouths, unheard voices in contemplation.<\/p>\n \u200bDissatisfied rather and definitely “thinking”, the modern “Kori”, of unpretentious and unconventional beauty, faces the present head on. She wants a healthy relationship with her body and the expansion of her sexuality.\u00a0\u200bShe\u00a0accepts diversity,\u00a0she\u00a0has self-knowledge and social sensitivity.\u00a0She wants equal opportunities, she condemns violence in all its forms.\u00a0She talks with the heavy heritage of the historicity of her city, the value of traditions or their catalysis, the abolition of social conventions and stereotypical models, but also with the consolidation of her acquired rights.\u00a0Flower of life, herself, the modern “Kori\u201d, she features a prominent place in the evolution of culture, science and humanity.
